Urban development and building culture in crisis mode?
30 March Light for the city
Sustainable lighting concepts for urban development
As part of the European Interreg project “LUCIA – Lighting the Baltic Sea Region”, municipalities and experts from the Baltic Sea region share their knowledge of public lighting. Altona District Office is the project’s lead partner and is largely responsible for its content, with Heike Bunte in charge of the technical development at the district office. The aim is to promote sustainable and innovative concepts for street and park lighting in urban space. Against this background, Heike Bunte will “shed light” on the wide field of urban lighting — between enriching illumination and harmful light pollution — together with lighting designer Ulrike Brandi (Elbphilharmonie and numerous museum projects, among others) and biologist Tobias Langguth (BUKEA).
