In the entrance hall, direct-beam ceiling luminaires with a warm light color accentuate the red floor and dark red concrete plan walls. For the different uses, there are lighting scenes for lectures, concerts and sports competitions. The German School Beijing frequently uses its entrance hall together with the gymnasium for events. Spotlights in the reveals of the skylights quote the daylight in the evening hours and let the skylights shine brightly to the outside. The reading garden above has a homey light in the evening hours. In the classrooms, suspended luminaires with direct-indirect light distribution provide pleasant, uniform illumination.
