The local authority of Schönebeck wanted a new building which is energy efficient. Clever use of daylight can contribute to this and also improve lighting conditions for individual work spaces.
In a feasibility study we developed the basic possibilities of increasing the amount of daylight penetrating the building. The western facade and office space within is well suited for redirecting daylight using holographic-optical elements of lightdirecting lamellae, housed in between insulated double glazing.
