The Victory Column on the Großer Stern in Berlin-Tiergarten is one of the capital’s most important monuments. In the course of restoration, the existing lighting was supplemented with light for the pedestal area and the column walkway. Wallwashers illuminate the pedestal in a soft, uniform light. Reflections on the edges of the marble clearly trace the outlines in the darkness.
LED strips close to the facade emphasize the plasticity of the four large copper reliefs. The LED strips are hidden in painted profiles so that they do not blind and appear invisible to visitors.
A brilliant light makes the glass mosaic in the round of columns appear also at night. The sixteen dark columns stand out clearly from the sparkling mosaic stones and add depth to the monument.
