The Elbphilharmonie is the western landmark of HafenCity. An exciting building consisting of old and new buildings – bricks and glass. A house that hosts a small district with a central concert hall.
The light for this organism, which is alive especially at night, is developing full of desire.
Desire because the Elbphilharmonie, with its well thought-out material concept, offers surfaces of very different roughnesses, degrees of gloss and colors everywhere. Daylight and artificial light touch or penetrate these surfaces and create the sense of space and the character of the place.
